We came across some new furniture from Exeter called the Tactile Living collection. Looking at the picture,it's quite obviously a step in the direction of looking weirder to be considered "more contemporary".

Call me old fashioned, but I like to sit in a chair in which I can actually tell which way I'm supposed to sit. The new furniture can be seen at Exeter's furniture showroom, along with a bunch of other overpriced nonsense that function only as a giant price tag in your living room.
