Though Sony hasn't announced an official price cut, UK retailers are slashing the PS3 price in a rather unorthodox move. At least three retailers in the country have reduced the price of the PS3 by £25.
It's a move that shows just how disappointed retailers are with the low sales numbers that are keeping them overstocked. The UK PS3 is priced the equivalent of over £50 more than in the US.
In addition, online UK-based Play.com has slashed its permanent price of the PS3 to £400, and it's also throwing in a free HDMI cable and a Blu-ray copy of the movie Click.
WH Smith is offering the same deal, but put an expiration date for the bundle offer of April 19. As reported Amazon UK already offered rebates on bundles before launch.
