Turkish YouTube ban overturned

The controversial YouTube ban has ended just two days after it was first declared. Apparently it was the Istanbul court's intention to bring back the site to Turkey after it was clear that objectionable videos had been removed.

The ban was sparked from a handful of videos that contained insults of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the father of modern Turkey. Insulting Ataturk is considered a grave offense in the European country. Turk Telecom, which owns and operates Internet access in Turkey, said it allowed customers to access YouTube immediately after it received the court notice.
