Three Sci-Fi classics hit Wii Virtual Console today

Dungeons, ghouls, and ghosts - oh, my! That's what Wii owners are saying right now, as the Virtual Console has been updated with three new classics. Galaga, Double Dungeons, and Super Ghouls and Ghosts have been added to the Nintendo console's virtual store.

The European Virtual Console now boasts over 60 titles, though there is still some nitpicking over the fact that PAL conversions have failed to be as superior as the NTSC versions that the lucky Americans and Japanese have received.

The three new titles span over a decade - starting with arcade classic Galaga, which was launched in 1981, and moving on to Turbografx release Double Dungeons, from 1990, and Capcom's Super Ghouls and Ghosts, originally launched on the SNES in 1992. The NES version of Galaga sells for 500 Wii Points, with the Turbografx16 Double Dungeons and SNES title Super Ghouls and Ghosts coming in respectively at 600 Wii Points and 800 Wii Points.
