The latest game charts are out for the UK and as expected Modern Warfare 2 has taken the top spot as the best selling game of the week. The game sold 1.78 million units in the UK in the first five days it was available.

It generated £67.4 million in sales. The Xbox 360 version of the game shipped a million units the first week alone. The massive sales of the game means that the game alone grossed nearly twice the revenue as the entire game industry last week.

Wii Fit fell from one to fourth on the list, FIFA 10 fell to third, and Forza Motorsport is fifth. LEGO Batman and Pure came back into the top ten thanks to bundle sales with the Xbox 360.
