At the end of September Apple announced that the App Store had 85,000 Apps. According to the counter on the iPhone App tracking site App Shopper, via V3.co.uk, the App store has already surpassed the 100,000 App milestone.

If App Shopper counts the same as Apple than a new announcement from Apple about the crazy growth of the App store will come soon.

If I were Apple I would wait until November 6th when the highly anticipated Motorola Droid launches in the U.S.

The App store is already so big you can just think about an app and you will find it. My 10 month old kid is into cats. So I just downloaded a cat app featuring funny cat photos and videos. From crap to cool games and useful apps almost everything is available.
