Vodafone has announced that it will be getting the HTC Tattoo in October on its mobile network. The Tattoo is the entry level Android-powered device from HTC.

The handset offers a 3.2MP camera, Android OS, access to the Android market, and the Touch Sense UI HTC puts on its higher end devices. The screen is a resistive touch unit.

Pricing is unknown and preorders can be placed on the Vodafone site right now. The Tattoo has a lower resolution than other Android devices, so the ability for apps to look as good as they do on other devices is a question.
