Palm is the company behind the Sprint exclusive Pre handset in the US. The pre was the first phone to run the new webOS operating system from Palm that is now on the Pixi as well.

Palm has so far been very quiet about the number of Pre handsets sold since it launched, leading to speculation that sales had been disappointing for the company. It seems that Palm may be getting set to finally share some sales data with the public.

Palm is set to unveil its fiscal Q4 financials soon and the information on sales is expected to be provided then. I would expect if sales were bad that it will only be briefly mentioned, while if sales are good it will be a major talking point. If sales had been that good, Palm and Sprint would have been bragging already.
