Sony launched a new wireless reader this week to go along with the two new readers it introduced not so long ago. When Sony unveiled its kindle fighting reader the on the thing it was missing was wireless connectivity.
This week Sony unveiled its first eReader with integrated wireless. The device sells for $399 and can store up to 1000 blocks in its internal memory and download them over mobile networks. The Sony device gets its connectivity from AT&T and has a 7-inch screen.
The device will also allow the users to borrow digital books from libraries without late fees. "Enabling consumers to access free eBooks via the public library network and Google's public domain collection (which now tops 1 million volumes) - and letting consumers buy ePub books from other sources and read them on Sony's devices -greatly expands the value proposition of its devices," said Ms Rotman Epps.
