A UK court has cleared search giant Google of any responsibility in a defamation suit brought against it in court. The suit held that Google was responsible for the remarks that were returned in its search result, blogs, and forums.

A high court judge cleared Google of defamation and said that the search giant only makes the information available instead of being the direct publisher. London's metropolitan International Schools filed the case.

The suit stemmed from a forum called Digital Trends that was found on Google search listings. The forums had posts that said the schools distance learning programs were nothing more than scams.
