Virgin media is getting ready to offer netbooks to consumers under a brand it calls Freedom and they will be offered free to new and existing customers. The obvious catch is that you have to agree to a new mobile broadband plan under contract.
The contract will require the user to sign up for two years of both mobile and fixed line broadband. The mobile offering will have a 1GB limit and the landline will have a paltry 10MB limit.
Monthly pricing for the plan will cost £38.79. The machine will be offered this week and will run an Intel N270 CPU, 10.2-inch screen, 1GB of RAM, 120GB HDD, Windows XP, and more. The machine will require a 3G USB modem since a 3G modem isn’t inside.
