Orange Unveils Solar Tent

Orange unveiled a concept solar tent this week at Glastonbury along with the music festival held there. The tent was inspired by the new flexible photovoltaics in development.
If the tent is produced, it will be covered with flexible semi-photovoltaic fabric that is woven on both sides with coated solar cells. The solar power would be channeled for four uses -- heating, lighting, communications, and recharging.
The tent would have a pouch that users drop electronic devices into that recharges them while the camper sleeps. The tent would also have a Wi-Fi signal of some sort. The goal seems to be to get people to use mobile devices even while roughing it.
