Twitter is the 38th most visited site in the UK and last year at the same time, it was the 969th most visited site. Twitter is becoming a mainstream news source, helping its popularity grow.

Twitter is also reportedly becoming a key driver of traffic to other websites with 1 in every 350 visits to a website coming from Twitter. That marks Twitter the 27th most popular source of traffic to other websites in the UK.
