Vodafone has announced a new femtocell gateway that will help customers who suffer with bad reception indoors for their mobile phone. The user can plug the Access Gateway into any broadband line to improve the network service.
The gateway sells for £160 but new and existing customers will be able to get the gateway for free on plans of £15 per month or more. The device works with up to 4 mobile phones at once and supports 3G.
Ian Shepherd, Consumer Director at Vodafone UK, said in a statement that "The Vodafone Access Gateway will boost indoor mobile phone coverage for customers who find they need to move around the rooms in their home to get consistent signal strength".
