Some New MacBook Have SATA Issues

It's been only a week or so since Apple unveiled the new iPhone 3G S and a couple of new MacBook notebooks. Apparently, some of the new MacBook notebooks have a problem with their SATA implementation.
The 13-inch white MacBook and the 17-inch Pro model have SATA II interface while the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros have been stuck with the older and slower SATA I interface.
The problem was apparently not intentional and can be fixed via a firmware update. Machines with normal HDDs will see no difference, but those with SSDs will see improvement moving to SATA II.
