Nikon has unveiled its latest high-end DSLR camera called the D3x. The camera has a 24.5MP image sensor and an advanced scene recognition system. ISO sensitivity runs from ISO100 to 1600 and the camera can shoot five frames per second.
The 3-inch rear LCD supports Live View and the camera has dual CF card slots for storing images. The camera is strong and lightweight thanks to construction with a magnesium body.
The shutter unit is a Kevlar and carbon fibre composite material. The biggest drawback to the camera is the massive price tag of £5500. The average camera enthusiast will be better off with the D90 and can pocket the massive price difference.
