UK gadget fans looking for a new Sony Reader may want to hop over to their local John Lewis store to pick up the exclusive red Sony Reader. The device has previously been offered in the US, but this is its first trip to Europe.

The red reader will retail for £199 and safe is the Ferrari sheen, the device is the same as any other Sony Reader.

It can store up to 160 books and has a six-inch E-ink display that needs no backlighting and offers high contrast ratios. I still think that if you need a new ebook reader, the Amazon Kindle will be a better device for most users.
