Since Apple launched its App Store, the iPhone has become much more fun. A new application for the iPhone and iPod touch called iHologram is now available that fools the user into thinking the image on the screen is 3D.

The application designer says that the application uses perspective tricks to fool the eye into seeing 3D similar to those used in classic paintings. The application takes advantage of the iPhone gyroscope to move the image in real time.

The little walking cat can be viewed from all angles and looks like he is walking on the screen of the phone. At the time of writing, I can’t find the application on the App Store.
