The first iPhone 3G reviews are cropping up from American journalists including the king of geeky tech types, Walt Mossberg. According to T3 Mossberg says he has played with the phone for a few weeks and that the 3G version is 3-5 times faster than the original for web surfing.
Mossberg says battery life is about 6 hours and that talk time for him was 4.5 hours, three hours less than he got out of the original iPhone. Mossberg also pointed out a syncing bug when used for Exchange or personal accounts.
Ed Baig from USA today also tested the phone out and liked the GPS, but found he could get no 3G signal in his home. Something tons of iPhone 3G users in America will find out come Friday. The AT&T 3G network in America is appalling in its coverage.
