For many fans of the PS3 game system one of the things most missed from the PS2 to the PS3 is the vibration feedback from the Dualshock controller. Sony was embroiled in a patent suit that prevented vibration feedback from being built-in to the original PS3 controller.
Sony has since settled the suit and has now announced that starting next week the PS3 Dualshock controller will be available. Starting Wednesday gamers in the UK can buy the new controller for £39.99.
Sony says that virtually all future PS3 titles will be released with support for vibration feedback on the controllers. I wouldn’t be surprised if many of your current favorite games will be getting a Dualshock update via a download as well. The current Sixaxis controller is being phased out.
