Fans of the iPhone 3G in the UK are getting some pretty sweet deals compared to what iPhone 3G hopefuls in America are getting from AT&T. O2 announced this week that it would be giving free BT OpenZone WiFi hotspot access to iPhone 3G customers.
BT isn’t stiffing the old iPhone users either with the new WiFi access, all iPhone users get BT OpenZone Hotspot access along with The Cloud hotspots already offered. The total number of hotspots for O2 iPhone users now totals 9000.
"By working with partners like BT OpenZone we can maximise the web experience for iPhone customers," said Ronan Dunne, CEO of O2 UK. "Public Wi-Fi hotspots ideally complement our mobile network, providing high speed web browsing and unlimited access to services like the iTunes Wi-Fi store in a wide variety of convenient locations."
