If you have been waiting to get yourself one of the new Asus Eee 901 or Eee 1000 notebooks with the larger screens and Intel Atom processors, the official UK launch date has been announced. The notebooks will be available in the UK on July 1st.

The new Eee systems have bigger screens, more storage space, support for faster 802.11n wireless networking, Bluetooth and more battery life than earlier Eee systems. Pricing for the Eee 901 will be £319 and the 1000 pricing is unannounced at this time.

"With constant innovations and implementation of the latest technologies in the new Eee PC range, we have expanded the original 3 'E's into Easy, Excellent and Exciting," said Jerry Shen, chief executive at Asus.
