Voodoo PC, owned by HP, introduced a new and very svelte PC today called the Voodoo Envy 133 that gives the MacBook Air a run for its money in the thin category. According to Register Hardware the MacBook Air is 1.90cm thick and the Envy 133 is only 1.75 cm thick.
That means Apple will need to change its marketing speak claiming to have the worlds thinnest PC. The Envy 133 has a 13.3-inch LCD with 1280 x 800 resolutions and uses LED backlighting. The Envy 133 is blocky to the Air’s rounded design.
The 133 also packs in a HDMI out and ExpressCard34 slot whereas the Air packs in…well… nothing but Air. Battery life on the 133 is less than the Air at 3hr 45 minutes and hard drive options will be an 80GB 4200 RPM HDD or a 64Gb SSD. Pricing is unannounced, but with the size and coming from Voodoo expect it to be expensive.
