For a long time now gamers have been able to communicate with other human players in their squads on FPS titles with their voice over VOIP communications. Eurogamer is reporting that Ubisoft has said that in the upcoming Tom Clancy game HAWX players will be able to command NPC squads with their voice as well.
The cat was let out of the bag by Andrei Costin at UbiDays in Paris, but he didn’t elaborate on how exactly the voice commands would work. The HAWX game will also reportedly have seamless co-op for two players. The game is set for a holiday 2008 release.
HAWX is a fighter pilot game and NPC players will chat with you in part of the HUD. It seems multiple planes will be available as well. The game is going to be a blend of simulation and arcade styles.
