The Telegraph has jumped on the iPhone 3G rumor bandwagon kind of late in the game. It reports that the phone is unanimously believed to be 3G and that visually it will be the same as the current device save the curved back presumably for the larger battery to provide decent battery life.
Interestingly Telegraph doesn’t seem to think the 3G iPhone will have internal GPS. It feels GPS isn’t needed and that the current iPhone’s location service using GSM towers is good enough. I say whatever, the current system can only locate you within a several block radius making it all but worthless for trying to find your way from one location to another.
Telegraph says that real Bluetooth is expected and it believes the camera will be upgraded to 3MP from the current 2MP. If so it will still be too weak for anything outside of on-the-fly snaps. The current camera on the iPhone is horrible, but not anymore than those cameras on 99% of the other mobile phones on the market.
