RIM launched the BlackBerry Bold today offering customers the first BlackBerry handset to ever combine HSDPA, GPS, and Wi-Fi into one device. The bold is compatible with 802.11a/b/g networks and is tri-band HSDPA and quad-band EDGE compatible.
The device has a QWERTY keyboard, a 624MHz processor, 128MB of flash memory and 1GB of storage on-board. Memory expansion via a microSD/SDHC slot is available. The device is compatible with all the BlackBerry applications you expect like email, messaging, and offers access to Office documents.
The display has a resolution of 480x320 and is fused to the undersurface of the lens for more color and clarity. The camera is a 2MP unit with 5x digital zoom and a built-in flash. The Bold can also record and playback movies with stereo sound. The battery is a 1500mAhr unit with 5 hours of talk time and 13 days standby time.
