PC Advisor says that it has had official confirmation from O2 that all stocks of the 8GB and 16GB iPhone’s are exhausted in the UK. The lack of stock of the devices in the UK is partly because of the large discounts that were offered recently to move the rumored excess stock on hand.

I guess the discounts worked too well since we are at least a month out from the rumored launch of the 3G iPhone. Carphone Warehouse also lists both models of the iPhone as out of stock as well.

The 16GB iPhone could possibly be back in stock later in the month according to O2, but as PC Advisor says—don’t hold your breath. Everyone seems to be gearing up for the rumored June launch of the 3G iPhone.
