Among the programming offerings will be HD version of Planet Earth. To take advantage of the service users will need to buy a dish and set-top box plus cover installation. No monthly subscription fees will be charged.
The standard Freesat box will cost £49 and those wanting to see HD programmes will pay £120. The cost of the satellite dish and installation will cost an additional £80. The BBC, ITV, and Chanel 4’s digital services will be available immediately as well as BBC HD service. ITV HD will launch soon.
