Apple Profits Soar

According to BBC News strong Mac sales have pushed Apple’s profits significantly with a new profit of $1.05 billion up from $770 million the same quarter last year. Apple says it shipped 2,289,000 Mac computers during the quarter, a surge of 51%.
BBC News says that international sales made up 44% of Apple’s revenue with total revenue of $7.51 billion in the quarter. Apple also reportedly sold 10,644,000 iPods and shipped 1.7 million iPhone’s.
Apple expects revenue to drop for the next quarter with projected revenues of $7.2 billion. "We're delighted to report 43% revenue growth and the strongest March quarter revenue and earnings in Apple's history," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO.
