AMD officially announced three new Phenom X3 triple-core processors today that AMD hopes users will combine with its AMD 780 series chipset. The processors and the chipset combined promise a full HD experience and what AMD calls visually stunning gaming and digital performance.
The three new processors introduced include the Phenom X3 8750 triple-core running at 2.4 GHz, the Phenom X3 8650 triple-core running at 2.3 GHz and the Phenom X3 8450 running at 2.1 GHz. The processors will retail for $195, $165, and $145 respectively.
"In today's market customers are too often forced to weigh the benefits of one component over another while sifting through one-sided marketing claims," said Leslie Sobon, AMD director of Product and Brand Management. "AMD is the only company in the world that is able to deliver a balanced platform solution without compromising performance, delivering a thrilling visual experience and powerful multi-threaded application performance."
