Qashqai+2 Announced in Europe

Nissan has revealed a new seven-seat Qashqai in Europe called the Qashqai+2. As you might gather from the name the new version sports two additional seats and grows by 211mm in length for a length of 4526mm overall.

The new vehicle also gets 38mm taller to accommodate the third seat passengers. Nissan says that the two seats for the third row are designed for children or as occasional seats for small adults up to 1.6m tall and can be adjusted through seven positions and fold flat into the floor.

The car has 500 liters of boot space when the rear seats are folded. Available engines will include the 1.6-litre with 113bhp, 2-litre with 138bhp, 1.5-litre 104bhp diesel and a 148bhp 2.0litre diesel. Two or four wheel drive models will be available. The +2 will carry a £1000 premium over the 5-seat version.
