Power Your PC with Your Keyboard

Many people recognize that computers consume lots of power. There are many ways to combat the power use of computer systems from more power efficient components to things like NVIDIA’s hybrid power.

Here’s a way to conserve electricity that you might not have thought of, your keyboard. The Dynamo keyboard turns the tapping of your fingers as you type into power that it sends to your computer. The power you generate when typing overrides power from the mains and operates your computer.

The faster you type the more power you generate. I have to wonder if the keyboard has a decent typing feel with the power generation components inside it. The Dynamo retails for £59.99 and you can get a £1 for planting a tree.
