Some details about the upcoming Archos 606 PMP have been revealed. The 606 will be the first Archos device to feature HSDPA Internet access. Other features of the PMP include a touch screen that is slightly larger than the older 650.
The gadget should sport the black case familiar to many Archos units and a 30GB HDD for storage of music and video. No VOIP calls will be possible with the device; the HSDPA is for data access only.
Internet access with the wireless service won’t be free. SFR will offer several plans for the device with a 24-month agreement ranging from 15 to 30 euros a month. The plan you chose will have bearing on the devices cost which are 249, 199, or 149 euros.
