VW has added a new flagship model for its Touareg R50 SUV in Britain called the R50. The coolest bit for the R50 is the massive V10 engine that produces copious amounts of torque—626lb ft to be exact.

The R50 will be available in limited numbers and have a customized cabin with plenty of R badges and lots of leather. The R50 rolls on 20-inch wheels and has a lower, firmer suspension.

VW claims that the beast can romp from 0 to 62 mph in 6.7 seconds and hit 147 mph. For now the R50 may be one of the fastest SUVs in Britain. However, Audi has a V12 beastie coming later this year with more power and better performance.
