Olympus Launches World's Smallest DSLR

Olympus announced a new DSLR camera today called the E-420, which it claims to be the world’s smallest DSLR camera. The small DSLR is sized more like a typical point-and-shoot camera. The cam uses a 10MP sensor and has a live view LCD screen.

Olympus packs 28 shooting modes into the small camera. In addition to the 2.7-inch live view LCD the camera also features an optical view finder as well. Other features include a dust removal system and the ability to shoot bursts of up to 3.5 fps with a 9 image RAW buffer.

ISO settings are ISO 100-1600 and the camera stores to CF, Microdrive and xD picture cards. Shutter speed is 1/4000 to 60 seconds and the camera uses an auto white balance system that can also be set manually. The E-420 will be available in April for £379 with a kit lens.
