The new Amazon Kindle U.S. & International Wireless is shipping today. Amazon announced the new International Kindle earlier this month. The new Kindle eBook can be ordered and used around the world in over 100 countries. Amazon ships the new Kindle directly from the U.S. store, which is an interesting approach to distribute a device globally.
Because of the weak Dollar the new Kindle eBook reader is actually not a bad deal in most countries despite shipping and custom fees.

Amazon just made a big announcement and introduced a new Kindle eBook reader dubbed Kindle U.S. & International Wireless. This new Kindle is not only able to download content in over 100 countries it is also now officially available for purchase in the UK and other countries.
Amazon is doing this though in a special way. You actually have to order the new Kindle at the U.S. Amazon store and your new Kindle will be shipped from the U.S.

Pentax K-x DSLR Coming to UK

Pentax has unveiled a new DSLR for entry level buyers called the K-x that is one sexy looking bit of kit. The camera comes in the plain black we all loathe and can be had in more attractive white, red, and navy colors as well. I particularly like the red version.
The cam has a 12.4MP sensor, 2.7-inch LCD with Live View, HD movie recording at 720p and 24 fps and more. The shutter can activate in 1/6000 of a second and burst can be shot at 4.7 shots per second. Read more

Zune HD Officially Available

Today marks the official launch of the Zune HD. The pre-order period is now over and you can buy the 16GB and 32GB versions of the machine now in the US. Those in the UK who want the new Zune will have to import one since the device isn’t in Europe yet.
Some early indications are that Microsoft may not offer the Zune HD outside of America. I would bet that the company will want to offer the device to as wide an audience as possible. Read more

UK eBook Buyers Waiting for Kindle

The fact that Amazon has yet to launch the Kindle eReader in the UK may well be holding up the growth of the eBook market in the UK. Apparently, many users simply aren’t buying eReaders and are waiting for Amazon to offer its reader.
With that said a new survey has show that 65% of buyers who participated were interested in a Sony eBook reader, the Kindle was in second place with 42% of users surveyed interested, and Apple was third with 35%. Read more

Sony Adds eReaders to Line

The Register reports that Sony has added new eReaders to its line of devices. The lowest priced of the additions is a unit with a 5-inch screen selling for $200. A 6-inch version sells for $300. Neither of the readers offer the Kindle's wireless connectivity, but that feature could be coming to future Sony readers.
The resolution of the 5-inch reader is 800 x 600 and the resolution will be 200 dpi. The larger screen device is touch sensitive, which is a nice feature to have in a reader. The touchscreen includes a stylus as well. Read more

Nikon Launches Simple D3000 DSLR

Nikon has launched its latest DSLR camera called the D3000. The camera looks much like the other DSLRs in the Nikon range, but promises to be one of the easiest to use DSLR cameras available.
The camera has an intelligent guide that will make using the complex settings easy and automatically uses recommended settings for the scene of subject. The camera also has a visual demo mode that will teach users how to take better pictures with the camera. Read more

Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W1 gets UK price and Launch Date

The Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D digital camera was announced a few weeks back in the US with a rice of $600 attached and a launch date pegged for later this year. The camera has now been pegged with a price and launch date for the UK as well.
The camera will sell for £570 and then you need the frame or a special printer to be able to view the shots. The frame costs another £390. The images have to be emailed to Fuji for development at a cost of about £3 each. Read more

Sony unveiled a new entry level Walkman with the E Series. The new Walkman E440 is only 9.3mm thin and comes black and red.
Features of the new Sony Walkman E440 include 2 inch QVGA LCD screen, Clear Audio Technology, 5-band equalizer, FM Tuner, 30 hour battery life for music and 6 hours for watching video.
The importing of music, video and photos is supposedly quick and fuss-free, with simple drag-and-drop from your PC’s media folder or via iTunes 8.1 using Content Transfer.

Sony Launches New DVDirect DVD Recorder

Sony has announced a new version of its DVDirect DVD recorder that has a larger LCD and a smaller and more compact body. The VRD-MC6 has a 2.7-inch LCD screen that allows the previewing of video or up to six digital photos at one time and is almost 60% smaller than its predecessor is.
The recorder can transfer AVCHD quality videos to DVD discs in native 1080i resolution when connected to a Sony hard drive or flash media camcorder. The DVDs made by the recorder can be played on compatible Blu-ray players including the PS3. Read more
